Six classes of vehicle, all maintained in our own workshop at Roydon. Pick by the number of people travelling, then check what is on board.

* About the options. Not every vehicle in a class carries every option, so tell us what you need when you book and we will put you on something that has it. TV and DVD equipment is there for passengers to play their own media: we cannot supply films, and you need the appropriate licence or authorisation for anything shown on board. USB charging, WiFi and on board toilets are not guaranteed unless they are requested at the time of booking.
18 and 22 seats
Minibus
The smallest thing we run, and the one people underestimate. Proper boot space rather than bags on laps, and seat belts throughout.

Midicoach
A full coach specification in a vehicle that still fits down a village lane. The usual choice for a single class or a club outing.

55 and 61 seats
Coaches
The workhorse for most journeys. Everything the midicoaches have, on a bigger scale. Ideal for soaking up the hours as you travel.

70 seats
The 70 seat school coach
Purposely adapted for schools. 3+2 child seating with three point belts, all on a single level, so two classes travel together on one coach without anybody going upstairs.

Double deckers
Very few operators in the region run them. We have several, and we have been running them longer than most. All of ours are coach specification rather than buses, so they have proper seats, belts and luggage space.

53 and 83 seats
Wheelchair accessible
A PSVAR compliant 53 seat coach and an 83 seat double decker, both part of the working fleet rather than something specially hired in. A wheelchair user is a normal booking, not a project.

Why our double deckers are different
Plenty of operators have bought a decker recently. Running them is another matter.
We were among the first here
Barker Bus has run double deckers in this area for as long as anyone can remember, so the drivers and the office both know what they are doing with them.
Several on the fleet, not one
If something goes wrong on the morning of your trip, there is another one in the yard. Operators with a single decker cannot say that, which is why they often ring us.
We maintain them ourselves
Deckers need more upkeep and more operational know how than a standard coach. Ours are inspected every six weeks in our own workshop.
One vehicle instead of two
Eighty seven people in one decker rather than two coaches means one driver, one invoice, a lower price and a good deal less fuel burned.
